I have played this version of Clue and love it, even if it is short. However, with the latest release, I purchased one of the in-app levels. I played it once, and it was great. The next day, I went to play the level again, and it wanted me to buy the level again! The level was still listed under "completed" but no longer under "owned". Scam!
I will never buy another EA title. Period.
I had initially given this game a fairly decent rating. Then, when EA kept us waiting and waiting and waiting for an update--an update promised within the app itself--I lowered my rating with the promise that I would change it when new content was made available. Well, EA has made a liar out of me. I will not give this game a higher rating when the developers decide to milk customers for more money. For those who paid full price for this app, it is a slap in the face to ask for more money. The funny thing is that EA thinks this will make them more money. I suspect, and I hope, all the bad reviews over this greedy decision, will steer people away from buying this app.
This is a bad business move.
Expansion packs leave a bit to be desired....
Have had the main app for several months, although played the first seven episodes fairly quickly, with promise of additional episodes forthcoming. First of all, in my opinion, it took way too long (at least five months) to release additional episodes. Secondly, the price of $.99 per additional episode is steep, considering that each additional episode only brings approximately one additional hour of gameplay (and that's if you're slow). Considering that at the time of this writing, you can purchase the original app with seven episodes for only $2.99 -- $.99 per episode for the add-ons is pricey. Third, and worst of all, in less than 24 hours, the application didn't remember that I had purchased an additional episode, my progress was lost, and it appears that if I want play the episode, I have to purchase it again. Not happy.
